Albert tamunobiokpo better known by his stage name SwAgNeL, who was born on 28th day of july 1994 A well endowed rapper that every singer admired, he has Poured some punchlines in shows that breaks the ladie's emotions,(I am a living witness to that cos I saw it) which made all artiste in his hood wanna do some colabs with him.
Swagnel started as early as 1999, as a boy he loved singing other artiste's songs like ja_rule, wyclef jean, pop daddy, mary j, etc sometimes he'll go out and sing for people in the neighbor hood and entertains them, at the end they will give him 1kobo to buy chewing gum and blom blom(baloom).
As a young boy he was very happy with that thou, all these events took place at ebadan water side at Portharcourt Rivers state.
In the year 2002 he relocated to Bori in Ogoni where he started his primary education, he was very fluent in speech and gained the love of his teachers. There he started singing in the class and started entertaining his class mates. He was famous and was loved by all his school students(Including me). After some years he started having the zeal of rapping, but he wasn't encourage with his punchlines because he was a novice in the game(at as then), but his friend Cynthia nwiko gingered his swagger, by saying that he sounds like lil_wayne (that lady was very observant cos that’s the gospel truth) and he was like wow are you sure? Their he started learning how to write some punchlines. So his first stage name was swagger nell, (Hmm! Sounds awful isn’t it ?) he believes his swagger is his ability (music) but as time goes on he changed it to "swagnel"(Wow! Sweet). He said his swag is his gift given to him by God while nell means light that he believes that his music will show people the right way to follow when they are in a dark condition ,thats where the light comes in.(You know one thing I Love about him is his Vision).
Well the first time he tried rapping on stage, it was just like a kid trying to recite some nursery rhymes, it was very poor, he felt useless and wanted to give up but his top fan Eckno never let that to happen he kept encouraging him till the the day he was to rap for his school's end of year party which he did marvellously well to the extent some of his class mates have to congratulate him with a kiss. (Oh My God ! I couldn’t believe what ma eyes saw dat very day)
After that performance he did at Rivpoly convocation arena , a group named V.C.B (violet city boys) accepted him into their crew where he was like a god there. As time goes on he became good in his raps, but along the line the crew segregated(that was not the end thou). Another crew named Rivplay hauz called him to join their crew, where he did absolutely nice in their shows, he was loved to the extent that some of his crew mates developed the spirit of jealousy,(Well that is a sign of greatness) but nevertheless swagnel is a star said there crew leader Bobby slik.
swaggy was first taken to the studio at jss2 where he did his first colabs with ferry x, because of how he killed the beat in that song a well known artiste who was in the studio quickly took his number where he joined in the album project of Rock dad, after that v.c.b's first single that smashed the entire Bori titled be mine where he made it hit lead to his fame, and one of the most loved songs of the vcbs' "profile pics" where swagnel it made so pure and touching with his punchlines. The latest single which he was featured by nelly prince in collaboration with splendid which was the most downloaded as at then also facilitated his musical ambition .
the hardest glitch which swagnel faced was oppositions and jealousy by his fellow artiste but he scaled through it, but his dad was so mad about his musical ambition that he was asked to Read law and legal studies in school, which was one of the most hardest thing for him because he knew if he's to read law its gonna take him time to make it up in his musical carrier, his father even told him to his face he's not gonna take responsibility if he doesn't read what he wants but still God intervened .
Swagnel will soon be out with his first single titled " genesis"(keep in touch).
